Colyton is situated three miles from the East Devon coast at Seaton.
It is set in beautiful Un-spoilt rolling countryside
on the banks of the River Coly.

Officially decreed a town by Henry VIII under a Royal Charter
of 1546, Colyton still maintains a distinct village atmosphere
with a narrow circular street pattern which is typical of the
pre-Saxon period when Colyton was first settled.
Its appeal has been recognized in as much as it has been
voted Devon's 'Best Kept Village' several times in recent years.
