The medieval town of Colyton is conveniently situated for trips to the
quaint fishing villages of
Beer, Branscombe
and
Lyme Regis.
Beer, steeped in smuggling history, has its famous 200 year old quarry
caves and model railway exhibition
(www.peco-uk.com),
whilst Branscombe, often referred to as one of the prettiest valleys on
the South Coast, offers traditional country pubs, and charming walks to
the beach where you can stop in the sea-shanty for coffee, lunch or
afternoon tea. Lyme Regis Cobb was made famous in the film 'The
French Lieutentant's Woman' starring Meryl streep and Jeremy Irons.

and Exmouth
are all within easy travelling distance, you can

which offers lovely walks, a restaurant, and of course, lots of
four-legged friends!

The old market town of
Honiton,
home of the famous and much collected Honiton Pottery and Lace, is just 9 miles away and is handy for supermarket shopping. The
